Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) Open House is an annual event organized for potential NYP students to know more about the courses provided and the campus life in NYP. The main objective is to provide valuable information about the courses offered in School of Information Technology (S.I.T.). Activities and programmes will be planned for the public to enjoy short tour in S.I.T.. We hope to give the public a better understanding and impression of NYP and S.I.T..

Don’t worry, I’ll keep the clichés out for this one. Kudos to the lecturers for having planned this open house, and also the open house committee for having executed it flawlessly. Help from all has been very much appreciated, though the publicity of the open house could be further improved in the future, which is not within any of our (students) control.

Firstly, Open House is over! Are you guys happy? I believe that you all miss it right? I personally miss the fun that we have during Open House especially the dinner that we had together, a session that we can laugh and have fun. Excos have a very good rest because FMO is coming, are you guys ready for that? This event will be much tougher than the other events that we had.
Secondly, I would like to thank the Open House committee, they spent their time doing the props and coming early to setup the place. They planned everything well and the process of the event is very smooth, they carried out without much difficulty. Though, there may be times when they are down but in fact they still have fun and do it out of love. Always remember forgive and forget, what we need to do is do it without complaining and you will realise how beautiful life can be.
On behalf of the top 4 and the executive committee we would like to thank the Open House committee for the hard work. Next is FMO, it’s about time to show how good we can work together as an executive committee and offer our best to the next batch of OGLs.

Open house 2009 has ended!
It was a very successful event by S.I.T. Club. The committee spend days and nights doing the props and fine tuning of the game to near perfection. I mean, with six committee members, we were able to work wonders.
Not to leave out the other Excos who did their part to mend the booth and put up the props as well.
The helpers were very co-operative and worked well with the EXCOs. Thank you very much helpers!

This event will be remembered by the six committee members that have come together to plan this open house days and nights. Although we got a lot of task that is to be done in a short period of time, we had lots of fun and laughter doing and going about planning for the open house itself.
I would like to thank the Excos that help us to setup and mend the booth for the three days without much complain and also the helpers that help us.
This is one of the events that I will never forget!

I believe everyone enjoyed themselves one way or the other and have learnt more about each other during Camp-ISTRY. Even though the number of participants wasn't what we have expected, we still manage to put on a good show. Congratulations to CAMP-ISTRY committee for this successful event. After the event I can see that all the participants enjoyed the camp a lot. Personally I think that one of the factor that the why participants enjoyed that camp is the games. The games are really fun and bond the participants together too. Although the responds is not what we have expected initially, all of the EXCOs and helpers do their best in the full 2 days camp and let the participants enjoy the camp to their fullest. =)

I felt that it was a success even though the attendance of the campers is not satisfactory.

Camp-ISTRY has made me know more people in other parts of the IT school and also the OGLS.
I enjoyed myself especially when we get along together in the games.
The games that I participated in were more challenging than what I have expected.

Having the event overnight would have made the event more enjoyable. (With participant arriving punctually)
Even though there were some misunderstandings during the games, the OGLs did their best to resolve it.

Event is over, so how all of you feeling now? I believe that efforts the committee had put in were not wasted, though there is a heavy downpour on the first day, but everyone put in their best effort to resume the activities on the other day. To see the smile of all the participants is what you all have achieve. You all have done well and grow. Obstacles sure happened during the way, but you all have learn from the mistakes. Always remember, a rainbow will appear after a heavy downpour. I have enjoyed myself during the event and i am happy to see that everyone did their best and put in all their efforts for that. As the event advisor of this event, i would like to use this chance to thank the 2 In-Charges for this event as they have really put in all the best for it. Next, i will like to thanks the Executive Committee and the helpers who helped out in this event. You all did well. Always remember do not be defeated by any obstacles, learn from it and you will do better. So Executive Committee 08/09, you all deserve a round of applause. Sports Champ this year was fun. Although there were some problems in between, i think the event still ended well. The weather was so hot that we all got sun burnt! Being the score keeper for captain ball was fun. I've seen everyone effort for the event. Good job everyone. =)

I have enjoyed myself in Sport Champs 2008/09 seeing the smiles of all winner really brings joys. Although there are many hiccups here and there, we managed to pull through the event with a success.

Sports Champ 08/09, held for sports lovers, was a totally brand new experience for us. It was a tough event, but on the whole i felt that it was still consider a success even though there were problems here and there. This event taught us more lessons as we witness the problems with our own eyes and we were given a second chance to solve and enhance our management for the second part of the event, which i was glad that we manage to do so. Also, It would not have been a success without the help of the committee and the rest of the Excos/Ogls who help out whole heartedly under the hot sun. Personally i feel that it was one of the toughest events probably due to the kind of environment we had to work in but i am thankful for the experienced earned. Three cheers for Sports Champ 08/09 and to everyone!

Sports Champ 08/09 is quite a successful event in my point of view due to the fact that I can see the participants enjoying themselves. They are all from around NYP and that is when I can see all of them gathering together for a similar interest. Was glad that I am in Sports Champ 08/09 Logistics Department because for this particular event it helps me to familiarize more of logistics. Although some setbacks are inevitable , our Sports Champ committee solves them in the end and make Sports Champ 08/09 ended successfully.

Personally i was quite surprise i got into S.I.T. EXCOs being part in this big family and all. Well firstly i would say that,i was quite surprised when i was being placed inside the EXCO 08/09. I had some kind of mixed feeling.. both excited and worried.. excited cuz i would be able to carry on with my S.I.T. Club life... worried in the sense that, i'm afraid that i may not be able to perform as well as what the previous EXCO have done so...or meet the expectation of others..Life as an EXCO has just started and responsibilities gradually increased. Things may not be as easy and simple as last time due to the fact that we have lesser manpower now and the tasks are much more heavier...moreover decisions have to be finalized by ourselves, so it is quite a big challenge now from what i see.However, i believe that no matter what kind of obstacles that appear, will not be faced by me myself..my fellow EXCO mates will be there for me.So...ROCK on ppl, let's do our best ! =) EXCO 08/09 rocksss.

My life in S.I.T. Club started when I joined Camp Eagle. Throughout the camp, planning FMO, VoiceOut, BandzOut, Phat Nite... I learned a lot and made numerous new friends. It's an interesting journey, with it's up and downs. More UPS than DOWNs though (: In my journey, I've seen strong bonds being made, leaders being born, and a dream being made.

People I revered the most in my Journey, are mainly my Seniors, and the close clique who has stuck by me through thick thin. Just to mention a few...
Jia Ming, the Ninja I/C in Finale, and also my "sai kang partner" has taught me more than any lecturers ever can, when it comes to life.
Yong Kuang, the Diploma I/C in FMO, and the "Sengkang Neighbor" taught me the importance of thinking beyond the surface.
Kenneth, the Publication Adviser / Finale Adviser, and the person who shared patience and understanding to me, despite me diverting my attention from publication.

To be elected to be in the Executive Committee of the new batch, has been both a honor and a privilege. Honor because of the integrity and standards our seniors has set. Privilege because we're able to work from a foundation built by our senior's sweat and tears.

Although my post in the Committee came as a shock to me, I've learned to treasure it. It's importance is not to be looked down at, and the things you learn in Logistic can be said to be... vastly superior to what you learn in other departments. Well, at least, that's how I feel.

Honestly, speaking, I'm not close with the Logistic Seniors.. Erny... Jafni... Chee Wei... Lucinda...
Heck, I'm not even close with my current Logistic Committee.. Kok Leong... Alvin... Jessica... Jing Xian...

But I'll learn to work together with you guys.
With the best of my abilities.

I'm glad that I was chosen to be in the EXCO for this year. This time we are on our own. There are no more seniors guiding us along the way like before. Felt a little lost at first, didn’t know what to do next. We used to seek seniors opinion and they would guide us but now, it is the EXCOs who decide what to do. I guess this is also our seniors started too and its time we stand on our own feet. Whatever the matter is, I believe this batch of EXCOs will work together as one and overcome all the barriers that we face during this 1 year of club life.

Greetings to everyone :)

I am honored to be selected into EXCOs 08/09. It is really unexpected when I heard the announcement. Both shocked and enraptured at that point of time... Have joined Camp Eagle and slowly proceed to being an OGL in FMO 08/09 and Phat Nite V. Thinking back of this journey it was truly amazing and a memorable one… It taught me skills and knowledge that cannot be learnt in lecture notes or from the internet. Skills and knowledge that money can’t buy but experience and learn it =)
Back then when I joined Camp Eagle with the objective of knowing more people and Talk more! But even after Phat Nite V still… haiz… failed in communicating -.-||
So now being in EXCOs 08/09, another new journey of my life begins… Will put in best in S.I.T. Club and of cause carrying on the very purpose I joined this family… talk more with the help from u guys =D

First of all, hey hey hi to everyone...really dunno wat to write sia...ok... er... ya like wat the rest of them said... i was shocked that i being selected by the senior to be one of the EXCOs.... cause i not like some of them, i onli joined in dring the preparation of the FMO... and at that time i just joined in in the mood of coming in to have fun and play onli.... then slowly i was in VoiceOut's tag crew which in charge of the light and helper of the BandOut..... so i really dunno y i was selected by them.... straight after i know that i was selected i already decided to quit for the EXCOs because i dun really know any one of them that is in the EXCOs expect those ppl that i have work wif before and i know myself is someone wif a very bad attitude....but then one of the senior, Guang Yun, came to me and told to to join the iron man camp and from there to find out whether do i really suit to be the EXCOs....

When in the camp, i just went wif a thinkin of after the camp is over that will be the end of my life in EXCOs but when we played the 3 mins no NG and i had that shot into the goal, seeing everyone was so happy and even cheer for that shot i made, this made me change my mind.... at that point of time i realise i got friend in the EXCOs and oso i wan to remain in here to share all the happy time wif all this friends of mine.... therefore now i decide to stay on wif them..... ppl is ur who make me cange my mind and stay on in the EXCOs.... although i might sometime might do thing that ur cant understand or wat so ever but then wat i wanna say is no matter wat, i will definiately spend all my happy time in this 1 year time wif the lot of u.... haha...

EXCO 07/08 Last Words

As I’m typing this out, I just couldn't describe how proud I am to be part of EXCOs. I just ain't got any idea of where to begin it with. It's nothing that I could describe how glad am I to be with this great people whom I first regard them as strangers. & now, they are my family. Thanks to S.I.T. Club for giving me a great chance, to be who I am now. I’ll never forget those great moments from Camp Eagle where leaders are born, to FMOs - working greatly with the ICs, to events and EXCOs events.

A year have gone, which it feels like a day.
EXCO journey really a remarkable ones that I’ll never wish to erase it away.
It really feels like yesterday where leaders are born, and today we're are gone.
And I can't believe this is over, Just can't deny that all these end just within a year.

Time flies without realizing that we've achieve what we've looking for.
The times we had, from the day we've born.
S.I.T. Club where we first found.
A club where different courses come to bond.

It's a never regret to share the joy with my fellow EXCOs
& Magnificos Dinare will forever be craved in this little hearts & soul.

well...... if S.I.T. Club is just only a club but without the fun,laughter,bonding, it will be a very boring club which only know how to organize events. It has been a year of fun and laughter and the professionalism in preparing of events. Before i join this club i have been wondering these questions, am i suitable to be part of the club? is it hard to cope with sch works? and some other questions. So i finally found the answer. In this 1 year of exco journey, i have learn alot of values. When i have troubles or encounter any problems, they will be stand beside me and support me. They are like my family. A lot of times,i have been thinking back for the past one year of event plannings, and i really enjoy it from the start to the end.

To all the excos08/09, it will be a challenging year and i hope when u encounter any problems or in decision making, think of the days when u are in ironmen training camp and u will find the answer there. All the best for u guys and uphold the S.I.T. Club image.

So this is the end huh? Time flew so fast. Life starting as an OGL to being an Exco to stepping down. It all seems like we been through such a long journey together, yet it seems so short. I can remember all those times we spent together, having fun, playing games, trial runs and so much more. Life in poly has never been the same for me since I entered the club. When I entered, all I wanted was to have more friends. Guess I got more than I bargained for, I found a family instead. A family of which I am proud of. Joy and laughter will always be remembered and forever treasured within my heart. I want to thank a few people…

Kenneth – thanks for everything. It has been fun working with you since making finale props during our OGL finale days, BandzOut days and every other event during our Exco days. Our props couldn’t be any better without your skills.

Jewelry – thanks for tolerating my temper at times. I know sometimes I quite stubborn, rude and straightforward, but hahaha. Pub always solve matters through conflict. Lol. Oh and that phrase always true, ‘shuo le bu ting, ting le you bu zhuo, zhuo le you zhuo cuo, cuo le you bu ren, ren le you bu fu’. LOL And thanks for being the club’s ‘kai xin guo’! smile always! =))))

Charlene – our design goddess. Learnt a lot from you. Thanks for the lessons. We always managed to make the impossible possible since BandzOut with an outstanding backdrop and a lot a lot a lot a lot of designs and continued to reign all the way till we stepped down. Wowing everyone including our seniors. PUB ROCKS! We are the legends. And ‘don’t make their problem our problem’. Hahahahaha.

My last words to EXCOs

To Excos/MDs,

Time pass so quickly and without realising, we have step down from Exco. However throughout these 1 year journey with you guys, I’ve really learnt a lot. Never in the beginning had I wanted to be an Exco, but I chose to carry on due to you guys. During our times in ironmen camp, I can see and feel how much bond we have there, helping each other even though we just get to know each other. You guys had shown me the meaning of friendship and that is why I chose to stay in this family of ours. Cos I believe in you guys. Events after event passes, our friendship grows stronger and stronger each day. I might be MIA during the earlier stages of being an Exco due to some unavoidable commitments. But that doesn’t mean I leave everything just like that. My heart still stays with you guys. The clock ticks and finally we reach the end and its time to say goodbye. Saying goodbye is the hardest part. The feelings of sadness just arise. The tears flow heavily deep within me. No one knew, not even myself knew that leaving you guys is the hardest part after all. Friendship is hard to built and its built over time, and when time calls for part, tears are uncontrollable.

Therefore I will like to say a big thank you to all of you for the special friendship you’ve given. You all have brought a great impact to my life. You all change me. You all built a “family” with me. Nothing can explain the great things all of us have bring about to this family. Even if we have to say goodbye, every each of you will always stay in this heart of mine. Good luck in everything that you all do. Remember to bring happiness into your life and smile always.

A blink of eye and one year have past. This journey that we walk through, definitely was not easy. Obstacles along the way had tried to push us back from our goal but we manage to overcome it. Conflicts were inevitable, is only how we deal with it. 31 August 2007, marks the day WE became an Exco’s. A year of friendship, a year of working together hand-in-hand and everything. No words can ever describe the journey that we went through together. Now here I am writing the last words for the last time. Time really moves fast and with a blink of an eye, one year has passed by. Actually I got a lot to say, but somehow, I can’t put them in words. The times we had, its priceless, no words can expressed how lucky I am to have you guys. But all I know is that, I will definitely miss all 28 of you. You guys are like my 2nd family. Thank you for being there, for everything.

I always accept as true in 3 things which are fate, chance and time. Fate gave 29 of us a chance to get together at the perfect instance to form one and only one Magnificos Dinare jigsaw puzzle.

A jigsaw puzzle can’t possibly be 29 pieces, but can only be 29 of us in the 1 piece puzzle. Along the journey, I learn loads from each individual and the moments of joyfulness and happiness are eternally kept as magnificent memoirs in my heart. Even though it’s just only a glimpse, my heart will continue searching for the reminiscences. It’s not simple to fit everyone into the puzzle, thus, every single effort and hard work counts. No matter how bumpy the journey was, we, Magnificos Dinare managed to pull through.

The whole journey of becoming an EXCO is fruitful and memorable to me. Since the time I started out as an OGL, I gained a lot of valuable knowledge from the planning of events and learning how to work in a team. Everyone has their own unique strengths and when combined together, "impossible" is a word that no longer will be used. Being willing to work together and learning how to overcome obstacles together is essential to achieving success. To my dear EXCOs, I will never forget the times we have experienced and I hope this family will always stay close. I wish all of you the best in the journey that you will embark on next! being the 'boiboi' of the club, indeed this one year i have learnt lots and lots of things. though it has came to an end, i believe within all of us, this family will always remain within our heart. with this marked the end of our EXCOs' life within S.I.T. I am glad to have walked on this journey with all of you, creating events, exploring the fields out of our own comfort zones, and discovering new friendships. And I have also learned alot from each and everyone of you and never regret one bit.

Looking back, all the ups and downs that we've been through, it's really all so small and worth it, and that we can proudly say to the world,"We are a one big family."

This voyage to the horizon was never an easy one. I started off as a sailor (OGL) and was asked to do many chores that were tiring. Originally, I wanted to know more sailors along the way to the other end of the sea voyage. It never occurred once to me that I wanted to rise to the rank of an upper deck (EXCO). However I ended up in the upper deck’s committee.

The chores of the upper deck were more tedious. Not only I learned to do the basic chores, I were taught of the advance skills (proposal and administrative) on the voyage.

The hardships were too much for me. However what kept me going were the people on board. The upper deck committee and the sailors who gave me enormous support and I will not ever forgot those thick and thins we went through together. In addition, all of us were from different walks of life which make things more complicated but we have come through. We got stronger day after day.
Even though I am one of the top four, I can only say that it’s the strength of all upper deck’s that allow us to carry on in the voyage to the beyond. Without anyone of you, we would all be struggling even more and mishaps will occurred.

Thank you upper deck’s committee for those strengths you gave me. I love you all. Even though we have ended our journey after a year’s hard work, keep on Endeavour on all things that you are doing now. The experience we gained will not be in vain. Pursue the dreams and we will see everyone again very soon. Let’s start another voyage again!

To the new batch of upper deck’s committee, do us proud by persevering on. Pursue the horizon and bring our maiden ship to another realm where there is victory. Good luck and bon voyage.

If I would have to choose the year where my life is the most enjoyable, I would choose 2007. The year when I joined Camp Eagle and all the way till EXCO. The tears we shed and the joy we shared were everlasting. So vivid the memory is that I thought it has been around just days ago.

One year, 365 days. It seems long but in actual fact, it’s short if you fully cherish that year. Within one year, I have become a apprentice, a master and now a retiree. It’s too fast! I cannot believe it! There are too much to say but too little time.

Although the world seems to contain much hatred and bloodshed, there are a few who battle and fight for their dreams and passion. Fortunately, I found a clan who battles, S.I.T. Club. There seems to be a lack of praises as we do not know how to express ourselves, like now.

Chicken wing run. That’s her special running method. That never ceases to make Richard laugh out loud. Her presence is very important as she is a funky and wild person. Joker. It is his nick alright. He was predicted to be the nemesis of the club. However with his own hands, he defeats this philosophy and in fact, he is one strong pillar that supported the club throughout. She is cheeky. She is optimistic. She loves to have fun and party all day round. When the bored-virus spreads around, she would heal us with her sense of humor and inject laughter to protect us from being infected again for the day. That’s why we need her every day. She is Mai’s natural combination. When they combine together with the sheer power of Joyce’s, they don’t just create wet market. They cause mass destruction which is pretty enjoyable sometime. it is glad to see it's a success, just by seeing the looks and the smiles on the face of the participants. everything turn out so well that it is simply worth all the hard work in the end.
what makes it greater, is that the smiles from not just the participants, but the smiles from the committee and, not forgetting the helpers.

the event was on par as the real club. every of the single participants enjoyed themselves and forgetting that they were in a room in sch. I would say that it still turn out great in every single aspect, considering all of us are amateurs in such events.

not forgetting those who have offered their hands in times of need. and those in the committee as well. thank you for all the hard work and help that you have offered. and it's been an honoured to work with every single one of you. all of you did great. well done.

I could vividly remember the planning stage and the time we been together to settle the proposal. It was a very tedious job. However, we reap benefits from our hardwork. Phat Nite V was a success. The crowd was just nice and the Deejays and Emcees were great! The quality of the sound and light system was terrific and we were able to mimic the professional club atmosphere. Special thanks to the helpers and my committee member. Without u guys Phat Nite V would not be successful as it could be!

Before i join Phat Nite this event as a helper, i always think, will this event be fun? What will be my impression for this event. But after the event today, i totally felt different, i felt that in school, we can have "clubbing" event too and i can see alot of students from the different schools
taking part in it. Firstly, i want to thank the Phat Nite committee for organising this event well, if without them, there would not be any helpers like me in the event. Everyone know their role well and did their job with no complains. Secondly, it will be the emcees, they are well organised and are able to catch the crowd attention. Lastly, would be on the participants, without them, will the event goes smoothly? NO! But when we can see the participants having fun at the dance floor, their smile prove that the effort from the committee and helpers are not wasted. Thumbs Up guys! You all did well. I am proud to say that PHAT NITE V was the best of all phat nite events from the previous years I was a part of making it possible.

Though there was a lot of things not perfectly done, many mistakes and many things left undone. The event still put through and was a complete success! seeing people enjoying themselves was the best moment ever especially seeing the seniors enjoying themselves shows that all the effort the whole committee and helpers had put in into this event paid off well =)

The atmosphere was totally great and definitely unforgettable. I therefore dare to say that this event made an impact in NYP and we will definitely see people coming back next year and asking for more of this!

For the pub team, even though there was like 5 of us left, and me being the only guy in the group. We put through. And of course we couldn't have done it without senior jewelry backing us up with lots of help and guidance.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone who helped out at the event and making it a successful one to be remembered by many =)

the PHAT NITE V was a success!! i believe that if we can have more trial runs the whole event will even be much more better than just a success! and yes, being able to run it smoothly partly was due to the helpers we have who really did a great job. without them, we couldnt have done it. and on top of that, i am really happy to be able to work in this committee and the two ICs, raymond and cuihui. thus, despite the sudden situations we have during the event itself, still we are able to cope and handle them.

other then that, having seen how the participants enjoyed the event is another thumbs up for it.

When i first know that i am inside of Phat Nite, i am not sure what it is. And when i get to know that it is clubbing, i am shocked, cause i do not like clubbing. But after all those i have done and seeing the actual event where everyone who comes to the event enjoys it, i feel happy. This event i can say is a success although we are all rushing at the last day but when everyone is happy dancing and enjoying the event, our efforts are not in vain. It is a good experience to be in Phat Nite and get to know more about what clubbing is.

The journey to Phat Nite V isn't easy. Though the journey is long, we have managed to go through it together as ONE Phat Nite V committee despite all the hiccups faced. I'm really glad to be in F&B department. In F&B dept, I really learnt a lot and I'm thankful to have Senior Priscilla, who is always there guiding me. Of course not forgetting, my supportive and contributive department mates. Regardless of all the tough and stressful times, they stood by me without fail. I can say, Phat Nite V was simply a bang! I believe that everyone in the committee had done a great job in putting so much to make it a successful event. BandzOut 2008/09 is not just a friendly competition between aspiring musicians but also a way to bring people together. The event will attract youths from different backgrounds allowing them to interact with each other thus increasing their social circle. Not only will they meet new faces but they will also be exposed to different genres of music. The participants will realize their potential and talent which in turn would encourage them to further pursue their musical career.

So what are you waiting for?

Event Day:

BandzOut 08/09 was an interesting event that i help out on. I have see that on the Crowd control side. I saw that we should be alert at all times. As a helper, i noticed that i am not sure how to differential who is the audience and who is the VIPs. I see that the Overall the crowd control is fine as we have been able to control the crowd properly and the seats are occupied to the full house.

BandzOut 08/09 had been a long journey, since the planning stage all the way until the actual event. I've seen the proposal from nothing to something, I've seen the Logistic Room from having no BandzOut Items at all, to half of it being filled up with nothing but BandzOut items. Some of us have burnt our weekends painting props, and burnt another weekend doing the backdrop. It's been an incredible journey, and our efforts have paid off.

The main event itself went quite smoothly, there were no major mistakes, and our turn-up was extremely great. We had a full-house for quite a while, and even when the event dragged until late at night, there were still lots of audience at the amphitheater.

I've learned a lot from this event and met many new friends.

BandzOut 08/09 is a success, and I hope that next year's BandzOut will do even better! (:

BandzOuT 2008/09 ended, but the memories shall stay with me.

Though a lot of things will done last minute, I’m still glad that everything lasted throughout the whole event. The response from the audience is great too when I doing my duties at the staircase two. They will enthusiastic and shouting their friends name bringing up the atmosphere in the amphitheatre. I feel that everything is great, the backdrop, the MCs, the everything. At least, i see effort in all of us. How we crack our brain to think of how to put up the backdrop and the banner. The teamwork is there when we work together. Our welfare is also well taken of. Feeling great to be able to work with the BandzOut committee and be involved in this event totally. I also like to thanks the Guest bands for coming to bring up the event to the peak. YOU GUYS ROCK THE STAGE! Lastly, special thanks to Senior Charlene who guides us well, you are a good advisor. We are the ones who not doing well, sorry to disappoint you. Thanks all the seniors and everyone who helped that makes this event successful.

BandzOut 2008/09 Rocked NYP!!
Being the Crowd Control IC was really fun. I had many thing duties and responsibilities. I could not have completed them without my Crowd Control Department. So a special thanks to them.
I would like to thank and apologise for all the good, the very good and the bad. BandzOut 2008/09 is a success in my eyes and the eyes of all BO people. The committee did their best for this event. I appreciate all those who helped out for this event too. We have more helpers than expected, sorry for those who don't have duties or can't help. Anyway, I'm sure everyone had fun and enjoyed the performances. The participants were alright; the guest performances were Da Bomb. Those who left early missed out big time. I’m sure everyone learnt a thing or two from this event. We had minor setbacks and certain problems during the event and stuff like that, but we overcame it and walked with our head up high. I think I better end my post, if not it will become an essay..haha

So to summarized it all,

It Was All Worth It and Will Do It All Over Again.

BandzOut 08/09! It was a rather successful one for me! Apart from some hiccups in the programme, but overall it was good!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the publication seniors and my members for being very supportive for me.
Though we didn't really produce very satisfying work, but i'm sure most of my members have put in their 101% effort.
Through this BandzOut planning journey, i've learnt and gain lots of experience.
Photoshop has always been a choreful tool to use but i'm enjoying it whenever i'm able to discover new tools to make my designs more WOW.
Because ultimately, i have passion for designing!

Basically i think that all of us learn the same lesson, which is to plan earlier. Nonetheless, the event still pull through with the help of everyone. It was a valuable experience for all of us, as we do things together, though not so united, but still, there were times we worked together closely to get things done. BandzOut 08/09 was a rather fun event as we were able to bond together more to help each other. It not only taught us more on planning stuffs but also give ourselves the chance to unleash our potential in handling of events. Overall, BandzOut 08/09 was a great success!

It was a successful and enjoyable event afterall. However there is still some improvement that can be improve on, but nothing is perfect. The goods cover the bads. Needless to say, i shall thanks BandzOut committee for making this event a success! BandzOut 2008/09 rocks!

Going through the whole process, i can still remember the days of proposal, weekly meetings, painting of props, auditions, final preparation, plenty of last minute changes and the event it self. No doubt it has been time consuming, but i believe everyone has picked up something from all these. What ever it may be, i sure do hope it'll help them in the future. Being an I/C was a different experience as compared to my role in FMO, but i think working with Shu Fei was much fun. Having the welfare of your committee in mind is vital, as stress can increase or decrease performance. An unhappy committee would not be able to churn out awesome results. I also would like to say that the backdrop was put up in a tiring but satisfying way, with many thanks to Senior Daniel for his suggestion. I would like to face up to the fact that there were many errors and problems with the event, but the main objective of the event is to bring people together, appreciating the music talent we have in our school, and of course for the music. And i truly believe that these were met. It was heart warming to see the WHOLE amphitheatre FULL of people till the point that we had to close admission. MANY THANKS TO MY COMMITTEE, who relentlessly put in alot of effort, last minute it may be, it all paid off! Seniors, thank you for the patience, guidance, and humour. The event would definitely would not have happened if not for you guys, though i will stress again that i did not like the way it ended at ALL during the debrief. So as cliche as it might sound, BandzOut 2008/09 was a success, since Senior Guang Yun mentioned to me, 'an event cannot fail since there are people attending it', and hell yeah to that! (:

Finally BandzOut has come to an end. After the many obstacles the BandzOut committee faced, they managed to pull off the event quite well. In fact, it was FULL HOUSE on the event day. Good job! From an audience point of view, I did enjoy the event, especially by Suicide Solutions. They were awesome! Firebrands were of course great too, so were the participants. BandzOut committee 2008/09, I hope you guys have learnt some important skills and lessons throughout this entire event process. Remember them and use them wisely. These experiences and memories will last you a lifetime. I’d expect a better show next year ok?! Oh and next time, well, if there is a next time, I hope you guys will take our advice more seriously. But anyway, ROCK ON BANDZOUT COMMITTEE 2008/09! All the best for the future. Cheers!

Congratulations to the whole committee of Bandzout 08/09, not forgetting the helpers too. You guys did a great job in making the event run smoothly. As a senior or overall advisor, i can see that you all really strive your best in making this event successful. From the proposal stage onwards, i can see you guys put in a lot of effort to really plan the event in detail. All of you overcome the challenges, sacrifice your time and put in all your effort for this event. And when the main day arrives, i can say almost everything when on smoothly. There might be mistakes done but put everything aside. It's very minor, but overall event was a success! And I am very happy to you all cos an event which is open to the school and public is a very challenging task but you all manage to overcome that, go on boldly with the event and make decisions wisely. VoiceOut 2008/09 has ended. Everyone had fun and laughter in this event. There were unforgettable moments for everyone in the Committee and I believe these moments will always be in the heart for all VoiceOut 08/09 Committee Members. Though we faced setbacks and challenges along the way, but everyone did not give up and put in all their best efforts for this event. Contestants are great too, as they put in their best performances for the judges and the audience, thumb up! I will like to use this chance to thank all my VoiceOut 2008/09's team for your effort that you all have put in. Memories will not be forgotten, VoiceOut 2008/09, YOU ALL ARE THE BEST!

VoiceOut 08/09 Event is an event where the S.I.T. students unleashed their talent. it was a smooth going process although we delayed the time. some unhappiness arose among the non-chinese participants about this event in which they treated this as unfair. as organizers, we accept it as one mistake that needs to be learn and ensure that the next VO batch does not commit the same mistakes. overall, the show is enjoyable.

It's a good experience being an assistant programme manager. Able to learn how to manage people in a way. Good Job, everyone! For settling of the last minutes PK between the soloists was great. However, I believe we can do it even better if we make full use of all the trial runs and get all the full manpower during the trial runs. All in all, it’s the helps from every single one of us that make it successful, beautiful and colorful. Billions of thank you, everyone. It's all of you all that make it happening. VoiceOut 08/09 was totally AWESOME!

Had so much fun watching the contestants showcasing their talents and had a hard time judging them too. Well from the list of names of the finalist, i could tell that this was gonna be a hard hard time.

This is my 1st experience judging for a big occasion like this, and am really honored to be one of the judges for both auditions and finals.And i can assure you that it's not an easy task. Ask Senior James.HAHAHAHAH.

I'm very happy that the Champion goes to Yan Rong. Coz at last she seized it!! Finally. Coz Shahirah took the title last year. Heheh. All in all, very happy for the soloist.
As for the duet category, we just have to expect the unexpected isn't it. Whatever it is, your seniors Tobias and Regina did really great and i love their performance. WOOHOO!!
The Champions for duet also cute lah. Hahaha.

So like i told James yesterday, Year one i've joined VoiceOut as a contestant, Year 2 involved as Stage Manager, and Year 3 as a judge and Guest Performer. So cool ah? Erk ok ok. Well just wanted to say that am very proud to be TOTALLY involved in VoiceOut throughout these years.

Today the crowd control is able to control the crowd well. We did our best in ensuring that only student who has the event’s ticket is allowed to go in to the TFA. The audience in the TFA is not that much compared to last year’s event as there are a lot of free sits which is left empty but in overall, everyone did well.

Basically I think that the VO run smoothly though there were sudden situations but it was being well-handled. On top of that I get to learn how the backstage functions and how to cope with the sudden situations behind the scenes. For me as a helper i personally think that it is definitely a good experience to get the chance to join the VO team. Eventually after the event, i am happy of cause as the event runs well and all. Yeah!

Overall, i think VO did a good job. All the committee and helpers effort is not wasted. Can see that everyone is committed. Quite smooth, did not let audience wait very long. Of course, there is some mistakes. But nothing is perfect."Everybody makes mistakes, that why pencil has eraser"
Able to handle last minute situation quite well. Error is not very obvious to the audience.
Emcess not very well-prepared, some pauses. Some leave their position, communication problem. The amount of people turned up is less than expected.

Today's finals was well organized and it all went well, with the help of the OGLs.They did their job really well by taking care of the participants needs and wants, and that includes myself. Futhermore,they are the ones who actually motivates the participants before they start performing. It was just an amazing experience to get the feel of being on the stage of NYP, performing for the first time, around supportive
people.

First of all, Congratulation VoiceOut 08/09 committee members and helpers, you all strive to make the event a success despite the challenges and obstacles that you all faced. I believed you all have learnt a lot from the event and that planning an event is not easy as some internal and external factors will obstruct your event. Also from this event, I can see you all enjoy it whether is it in props making or the trial runs and actual event and etc. As an overall event advisor, I am pleased that through the proposal planning stage to the actual event, the 4 ICs make the effort to coordinate everyone, improving themselves in terms of attitude and etc, gaining of experience in managing their manpower and etc. For the committee members and helpers, I can see you all enjoy the process from learning from one another, the time you spent in knowing better of one another and appreciative of one another’s works and etc. On the actual event, overall it is a success though there are some pops ups like emcees not well-prepared, nervousness, and audience seats not filled up and so. You all have handled the pops ups like the PK tournament between 2 same score contestants well. I believed everyone did their very best despite of tests, studies and quizzes and also have done their part in making this event a successful one. Great Job done J.

I would also like to thanks my group of seniors for taking out their precious time to advise the VoiceOut 08/09 committee members and helpers throughout the event despite of tests, studies and quizzes. Greatly appreciated your help and I also learnt a lot from you guys throughout the event in managing people and etc.

Camp Eagle - A camp to bring out the leadership in each individual as well as experiencing fun. Through this camp, we hope that it would strengthen each individual and getting them prepared for the coming orientation. Most importantly, coming together as one, working like one family!

Camp EAGLE was an amazing experience which led me to find out more about myself as well as learn how to bring out the leader in one's self. Through this experience i have fostered a great bond with many campmates and learned a great deal from one another. The camp has shown me the many ways in which a leader can lead and how to work better with others. I am truly glad to have gone to camp EAGLE which has indeed helped me become a better leader.

I find camp eagle was a fun and exciting, was able to learn alot from Sir Kelvin himself and make alot new friends. Camp Eagle is a fun, exciting and a learning camp for the freshmen.
Not only did the freshmen learn something new, but we, excos also.
From excos, to become seniors, it was not that easy tho.
We have to change the way we treat towards them.

Although I have been through Camp Eagle once, I'm still having that sense of belonging and it feels great to see the OGLs bonded together and working as a team. Camp Eagle is great project which you really can tear when you see them enjoying themselves and learning at the same time. With the aid of EXCOs and the inspiring camp instructor, Sir Kelvin, we had a really great time doing all the background jobs and never once complain about the tough and tiring physical task handed to us. hmmm.. i think it's a very interesting event. because last year, I didn't know about this event. I also think that the mobile team was a good idea. because if people never go to Blk L, they won't know that there is such event, so by moving around and selling, people can buy the stuff from where they are and is also promoting the event.

"Tis is the season to be joyful". I salute the committee for being able to bring out the christmas mood to a high level even when limitations and and sudden roadblocks come suddenly. S.I.T. Club has gained recognition and caught the attention of students and lecturers. Truly, this event, Xmasquerade 07/08 is one that the committee enjoyed working in. Ups and downs do come along the way;everyone knows how to work better together.

I can finally say "PHEW!" le! YAY!
okay.. Overall XmasQurade was a great success
in terms of the committee's efforts and as well
as all the EXCOs as well. Although all of us
were down with ICAs and common tests, we still
managed to make the event as "Rah-Rah" as possible.

In times like this, XmasQuerade has given me the
opportunity to build in my confidence and also
to improve on serving others as helping out in the
food-stall, there is contact with the customers. This
brings out the servant-heartedness and the
satisfaction by serving them enthusiastically and bring
happiness to the customers.
Another thing learnt was time management.
As we had cope with our revisions and studies
with this event. Although it was tough,i believe
that all of our time management skills have
risen to another level.

I believe that the event was wonderful and i would
like to thank all XmasQuerade committee as we all
struggled together as one during the beginning as well
as during the constant event area changing parts.
I also would like to thank the other EXCOs and helpers
as without you guys then event wouldn't be as successful
as it should have been.

Xmasquerade, a event that really did bring the Christmas atmosphere right into the school. From this event, we are greatly challenged both in time management and event management. We have to squeeze out every single minute both during the planning and execution stage due the many concurrent activities from ICAs, Projects to Common Tests. Also, we have to learn how to manage our time very well and be at the most efficient when coming to manpower deployment. During the event, we are required to know how to market our products to different audience from students to lecturers and even the canteen vendor while bringing the whole school Christmas feel all the way from North to South.

I would like to thank all helpers for all the time you had given out to assist us, the publications for all the eye-catching decorations, Priscilla and Farhana for the wonderful snacks and all the Club members for the heartfelt encouragement to the committee that pushed us throughout the event. Last but not least, Merry Christmas!

Firstly, being a crowd control for the first time is quite hard.
As I need to allocate people, floorplan and etc
However, the process with the committee is fun and enjoyable!
I thank EVERY single one for helping out in the event.
even tho CC got abit messed up.

When somebody mention “Christmas”, it did not generate significant impact to me as compare to the word “XmasQuerade. XmasQuerade makes me recap the thick and thin that the committee as well as the helpers went through together. It takes time to plan the event, but effort, commitment, endurance and heart to execute it.

I ought to say that the ICs and various departments did a great job in their respective roles. As ICs, Richard and Charlene are the ones overseeing the whole event and aid in every department. Yong Liang who handles the admin work keeps track of our budget and assists the rest. Raymond and Lucinda whose job is to get ready the required equipments needed. Jewelry is the one who design the props which create the Christmassy feel. As a crowd control, Nana manages the people on duty and directs the crowd. Not forgetting our helpers who lend their helping hand for us.

It is not smooth sailing along the way, but everyone work with one heart to make this event a success. Special thanks to the committee, helpers and patrons who support and purchase XmasQuerade munchies.

Sports Champ was indeed a great success!! Everything went smoothly. Nice weather, Great event!! =) Although there was a lot of last min decisions made on that day, but it was handled well. It was stressful to be a referee because despite so many trail runs, there are still faults and standard are not reached. But during the actual day, all referees did well. There were only a few minor faults and everything just went so smoothly. Last but not least, I really enjoy being a referee!! I would like to thanks the committees for giving mi a chance to participate in this great event!! Olala... ^_^

When seeing people being referee, I thought it is fun and easy. And I never dream of being a referee. Through Sports Champ, I was chosen to be the referee and I found out that it is not easy to be a good referee. Through this event, I learn that as a referee, we need to be fair, firm in decision and able to make decision on our own. We also need to be fast in decision making as the game carries on without stopping. It is also quite tiring and taxing for the referee as they are required to see the whole view of the game and be alert at all times. Although tired and being jeered as a referee, I found that I have done my best for this event and I have fun from this event.

I would like to thanks Sports Champ Committee for giving me this opportunity to become a referee.

Sports Champ '07! Well done! What a great way to kick start our first event!
The event was considered smooth sailing. We were also helped by the good weather!
This year we have expanded the event beyond SIT, so the competitive level had definitely gone up by a few notches. It was also a good opportunity for SIT students to interact with students from other schools.

Along the way, we learned a lot about responsibilities, time management and when to make some necessary sacrifices when needed.
We had to be more flexible as things do not always go our way. Making decisive last-minute decisions on the spot is also what we had learned from Sports Champ '07.
It was a valuable experience for some of us as it provided us with the chance to be referees, timekeepers, scorers etc.

Lastly, we had to thank everyone, from the committee, to the sub-committee, helpers, and officials from Sports & Wellness and all those who had contributed in making Sports Champ '07 a success. Thank you!

31 August 2007, exactly one year since we became EXCO, I choose not to sleep, trying to write my last message for the club. I don't write fantastic English, so do bear with my broken English. This will probably be the first and the last message that I going to write for the club as I have not been writing any feedbacks and comments for the previous event due to laziness or forgetfulness. Today, at this moment, I want to write something that has been accumulated over the past one and half year, but I can’t do it man!!

Running through what has happened for the whole of this period, there are tons and tons of memories, which are flooding my brain. I really don't know where to start with, many had happened and have 'chorp' in my heart. Each and every time, we support each other from falling. Each and every time, we grow stronger. Each and every time, we make it with glory. Each and every time, the story of our life is changed because of SIT club...... Today, I can proudly said that I'll leave with glory and I no longer live on a piece of black and white paper, the club has brought me colors to shine through my life.

I have never expected this day to come, the day where I became EXCO to write my last message *weep weep*. SIT Club has grown older by one year and thanks to all of you, the year is excellent!!

Juggling between school work and the club is not easy.
It requires excellent time management, and the passion for them.
I don't regret working for the club for the past one and a half year, in fact I gained much from it. To the new EXCOs, treasure whatever chance that has been given to you. As it goes along, it might seem hectic, you might even want to give up... but think about it. It's just a few more steps to the goal, just move on and when all comes to an end, you will feel the pride. When you look back at the things you've done, you'll feel proud.
If you think it's not true, it's actually exactly how I am feeling now.

Actually i got much to say but i don't know how to put it in words. One thing though, im gonna miss you guys so much cause we MAY or MAY NOT see each other again. How time flies! A year ago, i saw my own seniors passing down. Now, i have to see myself passing down to the next batch.
I can't believe its over! Our exco days seem so short. Just when i'm about to enjoy my life as an exco, i got to give up (reluctantly) my post. I can't express how much i miss the excos.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank a few special people who has made my life as an exco interesting.

MR NG - you know who you are- : We started off from Electronz. And i'll never forget the times we spent in camp eagle. Your "DON'T GIVE UP! YOU CAN YOU CAN!" has really made me what i am today. At times when i feel like giving up, you made me press on! And i really treasure our friendship alot. Thanks for being there when i needed you! :)
Eugene & Kamal : Thanks for those encouraging words. Thanks for making me feel part of the exco family. I know i kept giving you guys trouble and im really really sorry. Most importantly, Thanks for not giving up on me.
XiaoWei : I've said it and i want to say it again! It's amazing how we became from "hi, bye" friends to real FRIENDS! And seriously, i don't know when did we ever started talking. but i'm glad we talked. :)
Your presence in exco has made the whole clubroom lively. and i'm sad that we got to pass down so fast. (just when i'm about to get closer to u. :( ) haha, i sound so lesbian. But hey, thanks alot! Thanks for always listening to my lame jokes and be lame with me! I (and i think the rest of the excos) will NEVER forget your smiling style. Haha. [twist!!!!]
And lastly, to my 4 wonderful babes -Sabby, Wentao, Cheryl, Weishan- : It's you girls who made me stayed on in SIT-Club. It's you girls that made my life in SIT-Cub meaningful. Words like these do not need to be long. I just want you girls to know that i really treasure our friendship ALOT! what will i do without you girls? Thanks for bringing laughter into SIT-Club. Thanks for everything! And i love you girls from the bottom of my heart. hugs and kisses. :)

The journey i've been through in SIT club was remarkable. The skills, effort, experience and knowledge have mould me to what i am now. My Dear SIT club, Excos 06/07 and 07/08 ,
My journey as an Exco has come to an end and when I see you guys running around to hand in proposal, rushing through the late night for an event or even doing props at school till the sun sets. I’m reminded of the past me… The “me” where i was doing the same thing you guys did too. Yes that right we did it too. We had our ups and downs as u guys did.

So before I step down from my post, I would like to thank these people(who I forgot to do in the video) who made an impact in my life and brought me memories that would be kept in my heart forever.

-The E4(Exco 4) peeps. Firdaus, Kamal, Yuan Ching. Thank you for joining me in this magical ogl and excos journey. I’m sure you guys never regretted joining the SIT club.

-My new fellow classmates Firdaus, Zaty and Fawze. Thank you for the company and the crazy times spent and talking crap.

SIT CLUB is a place where i feel that is like a second home. A place where i never regret coming back. A place where fun and laughter, peace and joy are created out of nothing. A place where tears and blood(maybe not blood) are shed. All joy and laughter i have from there cant be found in anywhere else. The memories of ppl doing weird stuff, joking abt things, saying random stuff and many others will always be inside my heart and head forever.

I want to thanks these people who have made an impact during my journey as an exco :

Hairul, Ain, Nasir, Firdaus, Fawze, Mervyn, Kamal, Yew King, Alvin Lee and Boon Kin. There are times when i feel why i am here, you guys seriously make me feel like i am home, a place where i truly belongs. Never a day that u people fail to make me laugh. With you guys around, even at my most down part of my day will become the most enjoyable part of the day.

Theodore and AO for asking me to help out the orientation. If not for you two i wont be able to find sure wonderful people.

Yuan Ching for always sharing her complains with me. Our quarrels wont just stop here just because we are not excos anymore. And thank for all the encouraging words you give me and sometimes even push me to do things that i dont dare. I will pucked up my courage. Promised!

Lynn for keeping me updated upon what is going on in the club when i MIA. I am sry and i done what i have promised. Thanks for everything you did.

Yew King. You are the only person that i admired and at the same time fear most. As you already know that i do not dare to talk to you, i want to thank you for giving me the chance to communicate with you. Because you are actually helping me to build up my courage.

Academic Department. Fawze, Mervyn and May. Firstly i wish to apologise to u guys for not being able to help out in the open house. Secondly, i never regret being in the same department with you guys. I learn a lot of things from each of you. Even though we dont have people to pass down to, our spirits is being passed down to them. If there is a second chance, i want to be in the same department as you three again! For we are Legends! Still cant believe that our job scope is actually to take care of their academic results, in the end we become the Ministry of Enjoyment!

Lastly Boon Kin for always being there for me. Helping me whenever i need. Be it school work or club stuff. You are always there listening to my complains and my lame stuff. Even taught me to look at things in a very different way. Oh ya, you are also my Angel when we played angel and mortal. Thanks for the chocolate(my birthday present) again, even though you acted blur last time i thanked you. I also had done what I promised you before. I came back to the club and i want to thank you for that. If not, i will have miss out so much fun and laughter. I said it in the card and i will say it again. You are one superb friend and brother that i can never ask for. I really really thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Fireworks

Two days before the exams, some of our excos and friends met up to watch fireworks and marina south. Met up at 6 at city hall. Some of us already reached marine square and were having their dinner. So Zaty, Yit Jing, Cheryl, AO and i went to buy subway and head towards esplanade. Alvin lee caught up with us before we head off as he was late. Reached the spot at 7.15 and Zaty including AO start to take lots of pics. At 8pm, Kamal, Mervyn, Yew King, Eileen Neo, Nicky and Kenny meet up with us. Nicky waited till so bored that he even wanted to do a video. Our long wait ended at 9.15 when kites started to appear in the sky. The kites was flying in the sky for so long until Mervyn made a comment : "Oh Boy! Kites!" in the voice of Mickey Mouse. After 5 mins or so, FIREWORKS!! Here are some preview :

After the fireworks, May and Eileen Shui met up with us and we took a grp photo.

After that May went off while the rest of us decide on where to go. Decided on a roti prata shop near orchard and who going with who. Ended up is Alvin Lee, Kamal, Kenny and Yit Jing go by taxi, while Yew King, Cheryl and AO follows Eileen Shui' car and Nicky, Eileen Neo and me follow Mervyn's car. Before we separate, we took one last grp photo.

From this pic, we can clearly say that Alvin Lee is not good at taking photos. Even though its blur, he do not even know that his finger is actually blocking the lenes until i told him.

1030pm we reach the carpark at Suntec and wanted to exit it. Waited for an hour before its finally our turn to exit the place. We got so bored that we took pics of cars going the other direction.

Halfway during our wait, Alvin Lee called us and told us that we have to wait for one and a half hours before our prata could be served to us. That is LONG. Ending we headed towards Chomp Chomp while Kamal, Alvin Lee, Kenny and Yit Jing head home.
Reached Chomp Chomp at 12am, on the way, Eileen Neo dropped off to meet her dad. Flaged a cab for Zaty as she have to went off. Once we settle down, Alvin Lee called and said that they are coming to meet us. A minute later, he called again and said they not coming. Had our food and chat abt cars after that home sweet home.

That's it for pre-exams happiness. All the best to everyone in their exams.

P.S : i think Alvin Lee going to screw me for putting that statement. lol..

Phat Nite was indeed a success though there were few errors here and there. Seeing the students and even the seniors enjoying themselves tells me that we have already succeeded in our main objective of this event. I've learned a lot thru this preparation and with the help of Jeffrey and the Event advisors, we MOP-ies, manage to pull this event off. I can see that the committee really put in a lot of effort in making this event a successful one. Despite the stress of their projects, they still make time for the event. Greetings! Firstly i would like to thank the committee for giving us the chance and inviting us to this memorable event. It's nice to be around the SIT family again after graduating a few months back. It's my second time around going to Phat Nite (and hopefully not my last!) and i can say, Phat Nite IV was a blast! It's a nite where people let loose and groove to the music with their friends, and in fact meet new people along the way. Despite being sick, i had a wonderful time. Music was good, but it could be better. Smoke machine, very smoky. Food, more food please!!
I believe that everyone in the committee had done a great job in putting so much vibe to this successful event. I can see that most of the people are having fun. Nevertheless, there's always room for improvement in the near future. Remember, there's no failure, only learning experiences. All the best to everyone yea!

The objective of Phat Nite was to let lose and move freely to the music and I think, this committee has succeed in fulfilling it. BandzOut 2007/08 is not just a friendly competition between aspiring musicians but also a way to bring people together. The event will attract youths from different backgrounds allowing them to interact with each other thus increasing their social circle. Not only will they meet new faces but they will also be exposed to different genres of music. The participants will realize their potential and talent which in turn would encourage them to further pursue their musical career.

So Come down to the booth for more details. You can invite your friends of anywhere down to support u and ur band! yes and i mean people outside NYP!

It was my first time organizing this kind of activities although it was challenging but we make it thru. It was a full 3months of intensive planning and making of the props needed.
I have learn some life skills and made some friends along the way. Being the IC there is a lot of thing we see it but others don’t. Hope all this life skills will be useful in future!

The event overall is enjoyable however there is some improvement that can be done. Because I am a helper in the bandzout standing in the “frontline”. The music from the bands is unbearable. So I wished something can be done. Overall is quite enjoyable.

Skip the planning stage. Though before event there’s quite a lot of wrongs and “should haves”, the BandzOut committee managed to pull it off quite well. :) It’s definitely an enjoyable event from the perspective of an audience. (sweat at backstage for that “super-stable-backdrop”! haha) Oh, I like the designs much, well done publications! Not forgetting Crowd control; should be the department with most job scopes. Hope whatever is taught to the committee will be put to good use! Don’t forget whatever you guys have learnt, when you guys become seniors, it’ll be handy. Another series of fun and experiences- We manage to pull it off, and not to forget, we just produced another group of SUPERSTARS in SIT! We managed to put up a platform for them to outshine others. I'm really proud of the contestants. They have burning passion and potential in them. After getting its way through auditions, they've made it to the finals! They've had excellent audience! And they've put up a good show! Despite some hiccups and humps along the way, we, the successors of VoiceOut 2007/08, managed to do it as one and end it good. We are proud to present, and we are proud to bring home, yet, another useful experience for ourselves.

There is great teamwork and commitment despite academic stress and other commitments, everyone is able to part their own part to make voiceout a success.
From this event, i can see that all committee members is committed and are able to help one another, despite some setbacks, the committee members have proven teamwork has the ability to overcome any obstancle and stand out as one team, not 36 individuals.

Xtreme Venture III

Xtreme Venture III being the first event for School of Information Technology Year One students is to create bonding among students within their own class. In this one day event, we hope to encourage students to excel in teamwork. The students will take part in different games stations and complete the games to their very best. These games will enhance the participants in both their mental and physical skills. It is important for them to have fun and enjoy themselves throughout the event. Furthermore, the participants will have opportunities to make friends from other classes and practice sportsmanship.

I have learnt so much things inside this event, like time management of coping with both my studies and event planning plus my networking with other people around me which needed me to communicate with the people in joining and participating the event. With the help of everyone, inclusive of the OGLs who help us in excuting the games, Excos who guide us through the ups and downs during the event planning and of course the participants who fork out their precious time in joining the game, this event would not be a success without you all. This event really motivates me to all the things I have done and really getting me anticipates for the next one ahead.

Xtreme Venture III has given me good memories. How good you may ask, seeing friends gathering around preparing for the actual day, put in their 100% efforts in trial runs and meetings. I enjoyed being a station masters for Xtreme Venture III, even though we had difficulties and faced scolding during the trial runs. From there, we learned to give proper instructions and carry out the duties accordingly. The great acHievement is when we see the participants enjoying the games lots. I feel that after so much of preparations, it all worthwhile. Really enjoyed being able to assist Xtreme Venture Team in execution of games to everyone who participate in this event. With all these experiences I have learnt new skills which enable mi to apply them in my daily life.

Xtreme Venture III is so so good eh. In terms of management, instruction pass down to each and everyone is clear and not much doubts are there. Even though sometimes, there's a little bit of time wasted here and there - like waiting for our station items but everything went on smoothly. Seeing participants playing the games with smiles on their faces really brighten my days even though both stations I have to stuck with water. All these really makes my day worthwhile.

Xtreme Venture III is fun and enjoyable in preparation and execution of the games that we have been given In addition, it also helps to enhance our knowledge of the campus by knowing where our and other OGLs' stations location or even some places that we do not even know that it exists. We also learnt how to handle different scenarios that we facing, including sudden ones like a miscommunication of clue cards in the beginning. I believed that we became stronger as a whole after the event.

Xtreme Venture III is fun. I really enjoyed it. It helps mi to strengthen my bonds among my team through working together as a team as teamwork was the important factor in most of the game stations. The overall implementation of the games is all right. Plus the mountain peak that round is so fun. different stations need different coordination and teamwork from one another. drinking of water within that station enable us to have a break and plan our future stategies to win the game. All these games worthwile for my participation!

It was tiring. But i must say, i enjoyed working with this batch of committees.
I could see everyone putting in their effort to make this event a success. And i will can still remember asking the juniors: "Are you all really serious about this event?" Well, the results has shown. And i know sometimes we seniors push them way too high above our expectations. Frankly speaking, i was dissappointed at times. Nonetheless, they did a good job.
Though there's mistakes here and there, i belived the committee has left something with them through the mistakes they made.
And i hope they learnt something new through this event.

Camp Eagle is a camp to bring out the leadership in every individual as to prepare them for the upcoming orientation. We hope that they would be able to experience fun and also widen their social circle. Through this camp, we would discover the hidden potential and push oneself to his or her limit. To raise awareness and to create the ambience of Christmas for the staff & pupils of NYP, SIT Club have came out with X'mas Fete, a Christmas related event. This is an opportunity for students and staffs to enjoy the festive mood and confectionary, even when exams are drawing near in this festive season.
