Christmas Celebration / BBQ for EXCO 06/07
Christmas Celebration
Date: 26 December 2006
Time: 2pm
Location: East Coast Park, Pit D34.
There will be a Christmas Celebration/BBQ on the 26th of December for specially for all EXCOs 06/07. Each EXCO is required to bring along a christmas gift worth at least $10 which will be exchanged among EXCOs. Food and drinks will be free of charge.
Those who have tents at home, please contact Kimo.

Sports Championship 06/07
Sports Championship
Date of Registration: 1st Nov - 10Nov at Blk L Level 2
Date of Event: 18 Nov 2006
Venue: Blk F Basketball Court and Hockey Pitch
Sports Champ is an annual event that is organized by the students of SIT for the students in SIT. It provides an opportunity for the young and energetic SIT students to enjoy the great outdoors by having fun through competitions with their friends in the sports they love. This event can also help the youthful to realize what sports can do in terms of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
So what are waiting for? Come on down to the booth to register quick! Don't miss out on this fabulous chance to have fun!

Sports Champ actual event day:
Sport Champs!! Great start for us, EXCOS.
Though there might be hiccups, they will become lessons to learn.
We will treasure them and change to be better and better, that's how life is!!
It's not easy to do a event, nonetheless a Sports' event.
Whatever it is, we brought SUNSHINE and those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.

Our first event as the Exco-s of SIT Club. Not bad I must say. From a personal point of view, the event went off with a slightly disorganized start. But as with any other event, we adapted to the circumstances and made the best out of it. Despite being shorthanded at first, knowledge gained during the pre-event briefings paid off. Most of us knew where to place the equipment. I was skeptical at first, about the fixtures after the group stages. But those at the individual booths proved me wrong. We saw no significant schedule clashes. Conflicts occurred on the courts & the pitch, but all were settled without anyone losing a tooth, as far as I know. It’s pleasing to see the event IC more relaxed, to see participants having fun.
The event committee earned half a pat on the back for putting the event down on paper. They earned the other half by being able to compensate for the various uncontrollable variables on the event day. I also am grateful for the help and assistance provided by the members and helpers given that they have other commitments. As I have hoped for, the event was done with a ‘chop’. Sports Champ committee, you guys have just set a benchmark for all future events to come. Great job guys!

Being a referee for the soccer event on sports champ was good.
It was my first experience being a referee but the feeling was great.
I would like to congratulate all Sport Champ's Committee for the hardwork and dedication they have put into organising the event and making it very successful as it turned out.
Kudos to them.

Sports Championship 2006/2007 has been a great experience.
It has taught me a great deal about responsbilities,
teamwork and time management. Things werent always smooth
sailing but everyone kept their cool and we were able to tide
through at the end. A big thank you the committee, the Excos and
the officials that helped out in the event. The event would never
have made it without all of you. Thank you and again, thank you
